English Documentation Available for: DANS Socio-Economic Panel Survey - Administrative Dataset 2001-2003
n 1984, Statistics Netherlands (CBS) started the Socio-Economic Panel (SEP) survey. In this survey around 5000 households are followed over time. In 2003 the panel survey was ended. Up to the year 2002 all household members aged 16 years and over are periodically interviewed about their socio-economic situation including questions on education, labour market participation, income and assets and debts. In addition, one of the household members is asked questions concerning living conditions, ownership of consumer goods and income evaluation for the entire household.
The termination of the survey in 2003 was a reason for the users of the SEP to request the CBS to continue the sample and to further observe these people with the help of the records available within the CBS. The socio-economic data are also available only through these records. This continuation of the SEP is indicated by the term "SEP". The contents of this survey depend on the variables that can be derived from available records. The first set of variables was arranged in 2006 together with a group of users. These variables are included in this version.
The IDSC of IZA has completed the English documentation.
